Tenant Certificate Training - Space Limited to 10 people

You need a place to rent, but Landlords aren't sure they want to rent to you. That's when you show them the Tenancy Certificate you earned by going through the Tenant Certificate Training, Developed by CCMC.

This is a 2 hour workshop that helps you understand:

• The Tenant/Landlord business relationship
• How to read and understand Rental Agreements
• Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
• The Landlord's rights and responsibilities
• Preparing to Rent
• Caring for Rental Property

You MUST be registered in order to attend.

At the end of the workshop, you will take a True/False quiz. You must get at least 80% of the answers correct in order to receive your certificate. Not only will you get your certificate, you will also receive a free Renter Kit with items needed to take care of your rental and keep yourself organized. You will also receive a reference folder with contacts and information.

The Tenant Certificate Training is endorsed by the Hot Springs Landlord Association and the Hot Springs Housing Authority. Several Participating Landlords will offer certificate holders discounts. This is at the discretion of each Landlord.

Holding a Tenancy Certificate demonstrates to Landlords that you have invested your time and effort to be a responsible tenant who knows how to manage your household and also care for their property.

No more than two members of one household are permitted in the training. No childcare will be provided during the training and no children will be permitted in the training. Please make your own arrangements for childcare.
